Job Summary
Replace and repair jet engine components including high or low pressure compressors, turbines, and fan blades using special tooling and gauges. Perform disassembly and assembly of engine modules while conducting inspections to identify worn or defective parts. Troubleshoot technical problems to solve engine issues, write technical reports, and execute repairs on wing and in-situation. Apply borescope inspection and crack detection methods to ensure compliance with airworthiness standards. Requires DEC in Aircraft Maintenance, experience with CFM56 and V2500 engines, and fluency in English.
Required Qualifications
- DEC in Aircraft Maintenance
- Computer skills, MS Office
- Experience working with whole engine of wing
- Experience on the CFM56-5A/B; -7B
- Or experience on the V2500 engine
- Borescope inspection
- Knowledge of the relevant methods of measuring and cracks inspection
- Mechanical Skills: Engine mechanics will need familiarity with parts and components of engines, as well as the tools to fix them
- Technical Skills: Need to be familiar with electronic diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot repairs
- Manual Dexterity: Good hands and great hand-eye coordination
- Troubleshooting Skills: Need to be able to look at engine components, identify problems, and think about possible solutions
- Knowledge of relevant airworthiness standards, regulatory requirements
- Good interpersonal skills, problem solving oriented mind set
- Fluent English written and spoken
- Open to work flexible schedules
- One to tree (1 to 3) years experience on jet engines (beginner to intermediate)
- Ability to meet established standards and procedures
- Ability to work in a team
