Job Summary
Assemble, tear down, reassemble, and rework complete engines, assemblies, subassemblies, accessory units, and driven equipment. Balance rotating parts and assemblies to Solar standards while performing overhauls of engines and packages prior to and after testing. Utilize operational papers, blueprints, and instructions to rebuild Solar or customer turbomachinery products and change accessible filters. Requires high school diploma, minimum one year of power tool experience, and willingness to work any shift or overtime. Solar Turbines, a Caterpillar subsidiary, manufactures industrial gas turbines powering natural gas and electricity generation globally.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of experience using power tools and other equipment to perform troubleshooting, repair, and installation
- Understanding of engineering schematics and blueprints
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Willingness to work any shift
