Job Summary
Engagement Worker needed to lead client engagement and community-facing activities at The Greens, a 19-bed abstinence-based supported housing project in Sheffield. You will coordinate activities, facilitate group sessions, organise events, help residents access volunteering and community opportunities, build relationships with community groups and stakeholders, support fundraising and grant opportunities, and help raise visibility of the service locally and nationally. Must have experience in health/social care or related services, be skilled at coordinating activities and events, fundraising experience and grant applications, strong relationship-building, excellent written and verbal communication, and be highly organised with good MS Office/Outlook skills. Driving licence with access to a vehicle is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Have experience within health and social care, such as substance misuse, mental health, housing, or related services
- Have experience coordinating activities, events, or engagement opportunities
- Have experience of fundraising and/or grant funding applications
- Be confident building relationships with professionals, stakeholders, businesses and community groups
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing
- Be highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Be confident using Microsoft Office programmes including Outlook
- Be able to work independently as well as part of a wider team
- Relevant qualifications within health and social care or activity coordination would be advantageous
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential
