Job Summary
Engagement Specialist at CBH focused on outreach, screenings, and scheduling assessments for mental health, substance use disorders, and medication management. Works with community partners and in-house staff, triages clients with clinical staff, and utilizes de-escalation strategies. Responsibilities include client admissions/record updates in EMR, managing caseloads, handling referrals, preparing status reports, and coordinating next treatment steps. Requires QMHA certification or ability to obtain within 30 days, a Bachelor's degree in a behavioral science field (or equivalent three years of relevant experience), knowledge of Medicaid/OHA regulations, HIPAA, and the ability to pass a criminal background check; valid Oregon or Washington driver's license; bilingual ability is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a behavioral science field; or a combination of at least three years of relevant work, education, training, or experience.
- Current Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) certification through MHACBO or ability to obtain one within 30 days.
- Knowledge of Medicaid, Oregon Health Authority (OHA), and related State and Federal health care regulations to include Oregon Administrative Rules (OARs) and statutes.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Have and maintain an Oregon or Washington Driver’s license and meet the agency’s insurance standards.
