Job Summary
Coordinate a tiered intervention model across academics, behavior, and social-emotional learning by implementing Multi-tiered System of Supports (MTSS) using evidence-based practices and data-driven decision making. Explicitly teach academic and social-emotional lessons to students, including restorative practices and SEL circles, while providing direct instruction on problem-solving, de-escalation, and executive functioning skills. Collaborate with building staff, teachers, families, and community agencies to track progress, facilitate professional development, and develop site-based intervention menus. Participate in grade-level meetings to advise on data identification and design intervention plans aligned to student needs. Support district leadership to ensure MTSS protocols are implemented with fidelity and maximize educational opportunities for all children.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in education, social work or related field
- Experience working with adolescent youth and their families
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge in MTSS, crisis intervention, counseling and behavior management
- Understanding barriers to academic and social emotional & behavioral success
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other professionals
