Engagement Associate Community Focused

Engagement Associate in Policy & Advocacy role focused on community engagement for the ACLU of Texas in El Paso. Responsibilities include executing projects to meet department engagement objectives, outreach to organizations, training activists and coalition work (including familiarity with tools like VAN), regular volunteer outreach and tracking activities, drafting plans and training materials, and representing the organization in coalitions when needed. Requires 1 to 5 years of organizing/advocacy experience; reports to the Community Engagement Manager. Core competencies include written and verbal communication, problem-solving, dependability, feedback incorporation, accountability, and relationship-building with partner organizations; familiarity with nonprofit civic landscape is a plus. Compensation is salary-based and commensurate with experience within the organization’s scale; schedule may include non-traditional hours.
