Job Summary
Develop and implement programs of interest to enhance residents' active aging lifestyle, collaborating with them to customize opportunities that add delight and surprise. Lead assigned Engage Life programs by creating daily, weekly, and monthly plans while finding creative ways to keep residents connected to one another and the outside community. Teach exercises, assist with fitness equipment, and engage residents by incorporating spontaneity and purpose, paying special attention to those confined to apartments. Welcome new residents, implement company-designed programs, and prepare a monthly program calendar. Act as manager on duty, conduct community opening and closing procedures, and coordinate departmental needs within budget. Hire, train, and supervise drivers, assist in managing volunteers, and plan parties and holiday decorations. Maintain clean activity spaces and engage in community public relations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- One (1) to two (2) years of related experience in coordinating, planning, and executing group activities and events
- Communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing, with residents, staff, and vendors
- Able to proficiently operate standard office equipment
- Must possess valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Must satisfactorily meet and be in compliance with Company's Motor Vehicle Policy standards
- Proficient computer skills – Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel; includes utilization of iPad/tablet and other technology devices
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree preferred
