Job Summary
Design and sustain mechanical systems for the Infusion pumps product portfolio by applying principles of mechanical engineering, strength of materials, and material science. Lead troubleshooting efforts related to mechanical design interfaces and develop documentation optimized for production, reliability, and regulatory compliance. Perform in-depth mechanical analysis, define test protocols to validate safety and effectiveness, and resolve conflicts across design constituents. Demonstrate knowledge of manufacturing processes including plastic injection molding and sheetmetal, while contributing to design simplification and cost reduction.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge to applying principles of mechanical engineering
- Strength of materials & material science
- Ability to think and demonstrate miniaturization
- Knowledge on simplification and contribution towards design and process simplification
- Good knowledge on different manufacturing process like Plastic Injection Molding, Sheetmetal & Casting
- Demonstrates knowledge in Design for Manufacturing, Service, Costing
- Good communication and interpersonal skill
- Ability to perform in-depth mechanical engineering analysis and calculations
- Ability to resolve conflict
- Ability to define protocols and conduct the necessary testing required to validate the safety and effectiveness of the design(s)
- Ability to develop test plans, test protocols, and test reports for product integration testing
- Ability to develop, modify, and approve mechanical documentation, specifications and drawings
