Job Summary
Established Chemical and Materials Engineering professional responsible for developing new materials and manufacturing processes, monitoring material performance, and designing equipment layouts. Will lead cost-reduction initiatives, perform laboratory analyses on corrosion and coating, and collaborate with development, manufacturing, and purchasing teams to apply Carrier's material solutions. Seeks candidates with hands-on, self-motivated, results-driven approach who can mentor team members, define and evolve best practices, and translate laboratory results into robust, cost-effective technologies for Carrier products.
Required Qualifications
- Master or above in Materials Science or Engineering
- 3+ years of work experience in materials science/engineering
- Experience/knowledge in: aluminum & copper corrosion & protection; electro-chemical corrosion; lifetime modelling; coating & plating (process, testing); metallurgy; mechanical background; problem solving; failure analysis; good communication with factory & suppliers
