Job Summary
Lead a team of engineers performing component design analysis and qualification activities for nuclear equipment (e.g., steam generators, heat exchangers) to ensure compliance with ASME Code, customer requirements, BWXT standards, and regulatory requirements. Manage staffing, planning, coaching, and continuous improvement of analytical methods; oversee engineering reports and analysis packages, including PE-stamped deliverables; collaborate with Manufacturing on fabrication planning; support proposal development and project engineering; require a Bachelor’s in Engineering with P.Eng in Canada and 7–10 years of supervisory experience, with strong math, structural analysis, and thermodynamics knowledge, plus familiarity with nuclear component design and quality assurance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) status in Canada.
- Minimum 7 -10 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role within an engineering environment.
- Strong knowledge of applied mathematics, strength of materials, structural analysis, and mechanical design.
- Detailed knowledge of the ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code; experience in heat exchanger and pressure‐vessel design and analysis.
- Familiarity with nuclear component design, manufacturing processes, and quality assurance requirements.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and project planning skills.
