Job Summary
Patrol an assigned area by vehicle to enforce parking rules, issue warnings and quotes for illegally parked vehicles using the LPR vehicle system, identify vehicles in violation of parking codes, arrange towing for illegally parked or abandoned vehicles and direct tow-truck drivers, observe and report hazardous conditions such as unsafe signage, maintain required enforcement records and quotes, keep equipment and supplies like handheld computers and quote books organized, provide information to the public on parking regulations and facilities, inform the public about policies and procedures, identify stolen or counterfeit parking permits, and perform duties as assigned by the manager. Requires excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, a valid full provincial driver’s license with a clean driving record, ability to problem solve and stay composed under pressure, clear written and verbal communication, basic knowledge of handheld computers and Windows XP/Mobile, and willingness to work evenings and weekends if necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Cautious and courteous driver, with a valid full provincial drivers license and a clean driving record
- Confidence in problem solving and ability to manage stressful situations
- Ability to clearly and accurately communicate both written and verbally
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of handheld computer, personal computer (Windows XP/Mobile) and mobile phone features
