Job Summary
Accenture’s Energy Trading & Risk practice seeks an Allegro-focused Consultant/Manager to lead functional design and implementations of Allegro-based solutions within Natural Gas CTRM/ETRM contexts. The role emphasizes collaboration with clients to analyze CTRM/ETRM processes, lead configuration of Allegro to meet business objectives and regulatory requirements, oversee UAT and testing, deliver hands-on Allegro support across trading, risk, and finance, and provide training to client teams. You will coordinate with technical teams to ensure data integrity, contribute to best practices and delivery methodologies for Allegro deployments, stay current on industry trends, and communicate complex trading concepts to commercial desk stakeholders and IT partners. Local to Houston or willing to relocate to Houston is preferred, with a broad Accenture US office footprint referenced for potential placement. The salary ranges provided reflect location-based compensation across multiple US offices. This role requires proven delivery management, governance, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement capabilities, along with deep Allegro ETRM expertise in natural gas modules such as trade capture, logistics, risk, settlements, and interfaces.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years of Allegro ETRM Expertise (Natural Gas) including: Trade capture and deal templates (physical and financial natural gas); Logistics and scheduling (EBB nominations, pathing, balancing, pipeline/point/reference data alignment); Risk, P&L, and exposure management (positions, valuation curves, mark-to-market); Settlements and close (pricing, statement reconciliation, GL interfaces); Interfaces and integrations (ICE/chat trade capture, market and pricing data, ERP/GL integrations, custom UIs)
- Natural Gas Business Knowledge: pipeline protocols, storage logistics, capacity release, imbalance management, and month-end activities including actualization, accruals, and reconciliation
- Delivery Management: leading small consulting teams and coordinating onshore/offshore delivery, governance, budgeting, risk and issue management, stakeholder engagement
- Testing & Controls: designing testing strategies, validating data, and implementing controls to support auditability and compliant close processes
- Client-Facing Communication Skills: translating complex trading and process concepts into clear solution designs and actionable plans for commercial desk stakeholders and IT partners
- Nice to Have: experience in energy trading organizations focusing on natural gas; exposure to regulatory and compliance considerations impacting gas trading, scheduling, and settlements; experience supporting system upgrades, enhancements, or multi-release Allegro programs; familiarity with adjacent CTRM/ETRM platforms or downstream finance and accounting systems
