Job Summary
Qualify as the U.S. Coast Guard "Person in Charge" for receiving petroleum products by barge into terminal storage and supervise unloading into tanks. Observe safety procedures, advise supervisors on violations or upgrades, and perform maintenance and repairs for daily terminal operations. Take daily and end-of-month inventories, assist with driver training for loading rack procedures, and maintain housekeeping throughout the facility. Obtain 40-hour HAZMAT technician training after one year of experience. Follow explicit instructions from supervisors while maintaining a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
Required Qualifications
- Qualify with the U.S. Coast Guard as 'Person in Charge' of receiving petroleum products by barge into terminal storage
- High School diploma
- Valid Driver's License - Satisfactory Driving Record (MVR)
- Mechanically inclined
- Able to understand and follow directions correctly
Desired Qualifications
- Obtain 40 hour HAZMAT technician level training after one year experience on the job
