Job Summary
Support higher-level energy technicians in the maintenance, operation, and repair of energy systems by keeping tradesmen supplied with materials and tools. Perform unskilled or semi-skilled work without supervision, including cleaning working areas, machines, and equipment, while observing safety rules and OSHA regulations. Assist in programming, monitoring, and adjusting Building Management Systems; interpret equipment output, detect errors, and take corrective action. Available to support emergency call-ins and address unforeseen emergencies in normal or emergency scenarios. Document and maintain records of work performed, time spent, and resources used. Coordinate activities with other trade areas, project managers, or outside contractors.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Certification in relevant specialty
- Valid Florida Driver's License
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form
- Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail
- Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines
- Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment
- Must have performance and knowledge in the craft environment of Building Maintenance and /or Facilities Management, for at least one (1) year
- Must have a minimum of one (1) year of full-time experience in energy control systems or low voltage electrical devices/panels
- Work experience must be related to the installation, programming and service of building electrical and direct digital control systems
- Basic programming knowledge in a BAS environment is required
Desired Qualifications
- A Trade School certificate is preferred
- Overall basic knowledge of Building Maintenance and/or Facilities Management of applicable system and related technical terminology, applications, features, and/or services preferred
