Job Summary
Lead and manage day-to-day field operations of energy storage projects, including overseeing BESS construction for safe and successful execution. Assign tasks, delegate responsibilities, and provide guidance to develop team members' skills, while hiring and developing craft labor employees. Conduct site visits to assess progress, review design documents for constructability, and support the development of project schedules and labor/equipment plans. Ensure consistent adherence to the Quality Control plan and enforce safety procedures, fostering a culture of safety first and accountability. Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and other internal departments, and track operational status and performance metrics for senior management.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of applicable work-related experience in utility scale renewable construction and/or industrial/commercial electrical construction
- State licensed electrician or journeyman
- NFPA 70e Qualified Person
- OSHA 30-hour construction safety certification
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- 100% travel is required
Desired Qualifications
- Utility scale energy storage construction
- 1-3 years of prior experience in a supervisory role
- Demonstrated high level of capability to work within union labor agreements
- Experience in managing union labor and subcontractors
- Demonstrated experience in operations management, including budgeting resource allocation and performance optimization
- Strong knowledge of testing and commissioning
- Proficient in standard PC applications
- Strong knowledge of dispatching methods, techniques, and practices
- Effective written and verbal English communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and coordinate
