Job Summary
Lead end-to-end proposal development from initial intake to final submission, utilizing AI and automation tools to draft, refine, and assemble client-ready content. Manage the pricing desk by developing competitive pricing models, evaluating market trends, and providing margin guidance to the sales team. Oversee deal approval processes, ensuring contract accuracy and compliance before execution, while maintaining a centralized repository of approved deals. Collaborate with subject matter experts to align proposals with technical accuracy and client needs. This full-time, fully remote role requires no visa sponsorship and offers comprehensive health benefits. Environ serves large commercial and industrial clients across North America to reduce carbon emissions and achieve sustainability goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience writing proposals, preferably within the energy, sustainability, or consulting industries
- Proven experience in proposal management and pricing strategy within a complex sales environment
- Demonstrated proficiency using artificial intelligence tools, such as generative AI or automated proposal software, to streamline content creation and data analysis
- Strong financial acumen with direct experience running a pricing desk or similar operations
- Exceptional project management skills and the ability to manage multiple high priority deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to produce accurate, client-ready documents with minimal supervision
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively work with internal teams and clients
- Full-time, fully remote position
- Occasional company-paid travel may be required
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship
Desired Qualifications
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with energy efficiency, sustainability, and regulatory compliance services (such as GHG inventories, energy audits, and building performance standards) is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with Request For Proposal (RFP) and Request For Quote (RFQ) processes and proposal management software is a plus
