Energy Marshal

Job Summary
Onsite Energy Marshal responsible for managing energization and de-energization throughout the data center project lifecycle, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) operations, startup activities, breaker manipulations, and energization sequences. Ensures safety and compliance with the Energy Control Program, NFPA 70E, OSHA, and project energization protocols. Serves as the central point for energized work, overseeing energy boundaries, access control, safety documentation, and communications. Collaborates with commissioning teams, electrical contractors, and the Owner to maintain disciplined safety planning, manage risk around energized equipment, and uphold electrical safety standards on site.
Required Qualifications
- Electrical engineering degree
- journeyman license
- NETA certification
- 10+ years of electrical safety or commissioning experience
- Travel: 80%
- Work Schedule: may vary, nights/weekends/holidays; flexible schedule required
