Job Summary
Assist the Energy Manager in diagnosing, repairing, troubleshooting, and responding to utility needs for district facilities. Install DDC controls and other components to enhance the energy management program, while determining appropriate temperature settings for work orders. Pull and install DDC control cable, use diagnostic equipment like digital volt meters, and program facility schedules for air conditioning and heating usage. Travel district-wide, work in confined areas, and climb ladders while maintaining concentration and emotional control. Participate in drills, safety exercises, and professional learning opportunities. Maintain punctuality, meet deadlines, and exhibit trustworthiness, respect, and responsibility toward students, teachers, and administrators.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Texas driver's license and pass MVR driving record check - must meet eligibility requirements for CCISD motor vehicle insurance
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of computerized energy management
- Basic knowledge of hardware and software of building automation systems
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment such as digital volt meters, flowtronics
- Ability to work in confined areas
- Ability to pull and install DDC control cable
- Ability to work flexible schedule
- Minimum of 1 year of technical training or hands on experience in facilities energy management program
- Ability to maintain effective communication
- Ability to maintain concentration while performing duties
- Ability to maintain emotional control
- Frequent district-wide travel
- Moderate to heavy walking, standing, climbing ladders
- Lifting up to 25 pounds
