Energy Journalist/Editor (London) focused on breaking news and insights across energy and commodity sectors, from OPEC and the IEA, with emphasis on energy trading, international energy policy, and geopolitics. Responsibilities include researching and authoring breaking energy stories, working with data sets for report-based information, producing multimedia storytelling (short-form reels), and collaborating with editors, writers, and price reporters to integrate Dow Jones energy price assessments into reports.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years journalism experience in a newsroom
- Strong portfolio of breaking energy news and insights, including exclusive interviews with newsmakers in the energy space
- Technical skills in writing and editing, data analysis, and the ability to break news through data
- Multi-media storytelling skills and capability to produce short-form video content (reels)
- Comfort working with NewsPress content management systems and data sources
- Strong understanding of physical energy, commodity markets and energy trading
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; highly organized and detail-oriented
