Job Summary
Screen clients for service eligibility, schedule appointments, and gather documentation to complete energy assistance applications. Respond to inquiries, maintain client records in state and agency databases, and make referrals to internal and local resources. Provide basic home energy weatherization education, monitor AI call assistants, and assist in resolving client complaints. Cooperate with Community Action staff to assist clients with energy emergencies and participate in program outreach events and required team meetings.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED/HSE
- Basic clerical skills (filing, math, calculator, data entry, legible writing)
- Valid driver's license and auto liability insurance
- First Aid & CPR Certified (within 6 months of hire)
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organization and time management
- Ability to multi-task
- Work independently, and as a team member
- Self-motivated
- Strong and effective communication skills (oral and written)
- Ability to be an effective and positive ambassador for the agency
- Competency of standard office procedures and equipment
- Ability to navigate Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft 365, Excel, Word, Teams and Outlook
- Demonstrated ability to work harmoniously with people from varied cultural, socioeconomic, educational and experiential backgrounds
