Job Summary
Develop program and implementation plans for electric and natural gas energy efficiency projects while reviewing technical parameters to ensure conformity with engineering standards and incentive program rules. Perform energy analysis to determine savings for HVAC equipment, motors, controls, and lighting systems, then provide guidance to ensure all projects yield measurable results. Conduct detailed analysis of high-efficiency equipment and perform inspections aligned with energy savings calculations. Collaborate with third parties and customers for program implementation, provide training and support services, and conduct evaluations of new technologies and research activities.
Required Qualifications
- No visa sponsorship (H-1B, O-1, J-1, TN, E-3, etc.)
- Ability to work at least three days in the office including Tuesdays and Wednesdays
- Ability to work up to five days in the office if needed
- Knowledge of building systems including HVAC equipment, air handlers, pumps, motors, and VFDs
- Ability to review building plans showing HVAC, lighting, and control systems
- Familiarity with local energy codes
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention-to-detail
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Working knowledge of standard office computer software (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Baccalaureate degree in engineering
- Minimum of Three (3) plus years of relevant experience in engineering or related technical role
- Engineer in Training (EIT), Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or accredited Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Professional
