Job Summary
Mid-Level Energy Efficiency Engineer needed to lead technical evaluations for commercial and industrial clients, conduct onsite and virtual inspections, perform energy and peak demand savings calculations, analyze energy performance for new construction and LEED-certified projects, support QA/QC reviews and program evaluations, research emerging technologies, prepare client reports/presentations, and coordinate with internal/external stakeholders. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Master's preferred), 3–8 years of energy efficiency consulting experience, proficiency with energy modeling software (eQUEST, Trane TRACE, or similar), strong QA/QC background, excellent communication, and ~25% travel. Remote work is supported from Colorado, New Jersey, or Pennsylvania.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Master's in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred
- 3–8 years of experience in energy efficiency consulting, construction, lighting, HVAC, or as a field technician
- Experience with engineering analytics, cost analysis, and statistical/regression methods
- Experience with energy modeling software (eQUEST, Trane TRACE, or similar)
- Familiarity with industrial and manufacturing processes
- Strong QA/QC background
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint, Outlook)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable in a remote work environment
- Detail-oriented self-starter with strong organizational skills
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle; ~25% domestic travel required
