Job Summary

Conduct energy audits, site assessments, and carbon footprint analysis to identify energy-saving measures and technology upgrades. Prepare efficiency reports detailing ROI, payback periods, and cost-benefit analysis while advising on UK compliance with SECR, ESOS, and ISO 50001. Collaborate with clients to create net-zero roadmaps, model building performance using IES VE or DesignBuilder, and support renewable energy system integration. Assist with funding applications for incentives like SALIX and CIBSE. Lead multi-site audits and decarbonisation projects for major sustainability-driven clients across the UK.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of energy efficiency technologies, HVAC systems, and building services
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks (ESOS, SECR, TM44, EPC)
  • Excellent reporting and client communication skills
  • Proficiency in energy modelling software (e.g., IES, TAS, or similar)
  • Understanding of carbon reporting, net-zero strategies, and sustainability metrics

Desired Qualifications

  • Degree in Energy Engineering, Environmental Science, Mechanical Engineering, or similar
  • CIBSE membership or working towards charter ship
  • Experience in public sector projects and government reporting schemes
  • Project management skills and experience leading multi-site audits
