Job Summary
Senior Associate Chemical Engineer will lead assurance and consulting engagements related to regulatory compliance, including supervising engineering reviews, conducting on-site inspections of renewable fuel production facilities, and performing mass and energy balance calculations. Responsible for preparing client-ready deliverables and providing regular status updates, with frequent collaboration with leadership in a San Diego office. Travel up to 15% to client sites. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (ABET/EAC accredited) and 2+ years of experience, with an EIT license; preferred pursuit of PE license or PMP certification. Strong writing and presentation skills, ability to adapt to working with others with differing perspectives, and effective time management. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from an EAC/ABET accredited University
- 2+ years of experience in the chemical engineering field with project management, consulting, regulatory compliance, or client relations
- Currently holds EIT license
- Experience performing mass and energy balance calculations
- Experience interpreting and preparing block flow diagrams (BFDs), process flow diagrams (PFDs), and process descriptions
- Independent thinking and strong decision-making skills
- Excellent writing and presentation skills
- Ability to collaborate with diverse teams
- Strong time management and multi-tasking abilities
