Job Summary
Conduct daily work assignments and projects for maintenance equipment, machinery, and related systems across SMH areas and buildings. Maintain parts and materials inventory, schedule tasks, and keep logs while acting as a liaison between the Supervisor, Project Managers, and Contractors. Perform minor repairs in plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, and general maintenance; read prints/diagrams and document repairs from PM testing. Assist the OPL Supervisor with program procedures, develop department policies, and foster interdepartmental relationships to ensure financial and ethical accountability. Requires three years of large plant operations experience, valid driver's license, and ability to work independently.
Required Qualifications
- three (3) years of experience in large plant operations
- Valid Driver's License
- HS EQ: High School Diploma, GED or Certificate
Desired Qualifications
- working knowledge of high pressure steam boilers, centrifugal chillers, pumps, compressors and related plant equipment
- ability to work with and direct members of existing team with the ability to lead and direct multiple projects
- effective leadership skills/qualifications
- ability to fit pipe, both copper and black iron
- welding experience
- ability to repair deficiencies found during testing of PM and accurately document and record the repairs made
- familiarity with computers and related software (Windows Operating Systems)
- familiarity with codes applicable to field and industry
- proficiency in written and verbal communication
- working knowledge of hand tools pertinent to trade(s)
- ability to work independently with no supervision
