Job Summary
Conduct virtual and in-person consultations with homeowners to evaluate energy usage, goals, and priorities. Educate clients on solar technology, financing options, and potential savings while recommending tailored solutions. Manage the full sales process from consultation through signed agreement, including proposal reviews, design clarifications, and objection handling. Maintain accurate pipeline information, execute disciplined follow-up, and meet established revenue goals. Work cross-functionally with operations and design teams to ensure smooth transitions to installation. Stay current on industry trends, Tesla and GAF product offerings, and utility considerations.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of solar sales experience
- Demonstrated success in a consultative, goal-oriented sales environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build trust and rapport with homeowners
- Ability to explain solar technology, financial considerations, and technical concepts in clear, customer-friendly language
- Strong follow-up, organization, and pipeline management skills
- Confidence presenting and closing virtually as well as in person
- Customer-first mindset with the ability to balance an exceptional experience with sales performance
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Aurora or similar solar design software
- Experience selling solar roofing solutions in a virtual environment
