Job Summary
Understand design intent, failure modes, and specifications of products while interpreting governmental regulations and agency guidelines to assure compliance. Provide expertise in interpreting internal policies and serve as a liaison between Bacchus Mission Assurance and various organizations, including government agencies. Work directly with operating entities to ensure inspections, statistical process control analyses, and audits are conducted on a continuing basis to enforce requirements and improve processing. This role supports solving complex engineering problems within the Production Quality team in Magna, UT, requiring a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off. Candidates must obtain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance and hold a STEM Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree with relevant experience.
Required Qualifications
- STEM Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience
- STEM Master's degree with 3 years of relevant experience
- STEM PhD with 1 year of relevant experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance
- Strong working knowledge of AS9100 aerospace quality standards
- Experience and knowledge in documenting and processing nonconformances via Material Review Board (MRB) protocol
- Experience or knowledge in performing First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR)
- Experience and knowledge in conducting investigations using Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) and other investigation techniques
- Experience with Dimensional Inspection Techniques and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (ANSI/AMSE Y14.5)
- Mechanical design and tooling experience
- Computer Aided Design – ie NX, Solidworks, ProE, CAD, other's
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to travel 10% of the time
- Must be able to work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off
- U.S. Citizenship
