Endoscopy Technician Per Diem

Job Summary
Inspects and functionally operates Endoscopy equipment and related instruments, prepares and manages storeroom supplies, and assists physicians and nurses in the Endoscopy Suite under supervision. Requires 2+ years of hospital or GI facility endoscopy tech experience, knowledge of endoscopy equipment, aseptic technique, and high-level disinfection. A high school diploma is required, with CEFR (CBSPD) or CER (HSPA) certification expected within 2 years. Strong communication and teamwork are essential, with preference for SGNA GI Technical certification and related coursework. Per diem schedule with days 8am-6pm and on-call weekend rotations.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of two (2) years of hospital or GI facility endoscopy tech experience
- Knowledge of endoscopy equipment, aseptic technique, and high-level disinfection methods
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- CEFR (CBSPD) or CER (HSPA) certification required within 2 years of hire
Desired Qualifications
- SGNA GI Technical specialist course or equivalent experience
- Certificate in endoscopy-related sterilization or a CBSPD/CER credential within 2 years of hire
- Experience with inventory management and instrument processing in an endoscopy setting
- Flexibility for per diem schedule and on-call rotations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Experience with high-level disinfection and aseptic technique in GI/endoscopy environments
- Ability to prepare requisitions and manage storeroom supplies
