Job Summary
Endoscopy Technician in UMass Memorial Health Endoscopy Suite in Milford, MA. Responsibilities include inventory management, reprocessing endoscopy instrumentation and endoscopes, preparing equipment for cases, setting up equipment in various areas (SCU, OR, ED), and supporting clinical staff. Requires BLS, SGNA certification within a year, high school graduate; EMT/Critical Care Tech and an associate degree preferred. Must have strong communication, dexterity, and organizational skills; 40-hour week with on-call and day shift.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Certification required (or obtained within 30 days)
- SGNA certification required within one year or eight years of endoscopy experience
- High School Graduate preferred
- EMT or Critical Care Tech preferred
- Associate degree in health care field preferred
- Coursework in Medical Terminology/Health Care-related education
- Experience: excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to lift/move patients, basic computer usage, English communication, medical terminology
- Endoscopy Unit experience preferred
