Job Summary
Monitor PAR levels of all instrumentation and supplies. Prepare, assemble, and organize the work environment, equipment, and supplies necessary to perform diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures. Handle instruments, endoscopic equipment, scope cleaning machines, and sterilizers while adhering to standard precautions and terminal cleaning protocols for surgical instruments and scope cleaning rooms. Requires current Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification and preferred AORT participation. High School graduate with preferred Operating Room Technical School certification or one year of on-the-job experience in an endoscopy setting.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate of approved Operating Room Technical School with certification
- one (1) year of on the job experience in an endoscopy setting
- Experience or proven ability to function in a leadership role
- Knowledge of the use and handling of instruments, endoscopic equipment; scope cleaning machines and sterilizer, standard precautions and terminal cleaning of surgical instruments and scope cleaning rooms
- participation in AORT
