Job Summary
Assist physicians with gastroenterology endoscopy procedures under RN supervision, including patient education, transport of sedated patients, and monitoring. Perform equipment setup, pre-cleaning, and disinfection of endoscopes while inspecting accessories for defects. Collect and label specimens, document equipment usage, and provide emergency care using basic life support protocols. Support therapeutic interventions such as polypectomy and stent placement, and initiate network start-up for photo documentation.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Must have excellent communication skills
- ability to follow oral instructions

- Must be able to lift 100 lbs. to waist height
- Must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
- Employees in this role must be fitted for, capable of donning and performing routine tasks in personal protective equipment to include N95 masks, Powered Air Purifying Respirators (PAPR) or Controlled Air Purifying Respirators (CAPR)
- CPR certified
Desired Qualifications
- Successful completion of Endoscopy Technician course within 3 months of hire into this role
- Previous Endoscopic Technician or Patient Care Technician experience
- Patient care experience in acute care setting
