Job Summary
Assist the Registered Nurse and Physician in endoscopy procedures; set up procedure rooms and layout supplies; select proper scopes; follow infection control practices including disinfection of surfaces; clean and flush scopes following national standards; monitor and maintain automated endoscopic reprocessing equipment and QA procedures; maintain autoclave and process sterilization procedures with logs; assist with handling specimens and transport to lab, and assist with transporting patients into and out of procedure rooms.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of approved Medical Assistant or Medical Technician Program
- Training in endoscopic equipment cleaning processes
- Computer skills
