Job Summary
Prepare for and assist during endoscopic procedures under RN supervision, including scope care and reprocessing. Perform related duties as required while maintaining CPR certification. This role requires either GI Lab Tech or operating room experience with formal surgical tech training, along with specific certifications for GI Tech II or Surgical Tech II depending on the setting.
Required Qualifications
- CPR certification
- GI Tech II in the GI Lab: Two years of experience
- GI Certification (SGNA in lieu of a CST, NCCT, or NBSTSA)
- Surgical Tech II in the Operating Room: One year of experience
- Surgical Tech Certification (CST, NCCT, or NBSTSA)
Desired Qualifications
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Six months of experience as a GI Lab Tech or operating room experience
- completion of formal surgical tech training program
