Job Summary
Conduct endoscopy procedures by protecting patients from injury, maintaining sterile fields, and providing instruments to the endoscopist. Assemble and organize sterile supplies, clean and prepare equipment for processing, and troubleshoot instrument malfunctions. Handle specimens per policy, perform wound and tissue perfusion interventions, and ensure patient privacy and dignity. Evaluate patient progress, provide accurate hand-off reports, and participate in quality review and performance improvement projects. Maintain required competencies, pursue professional growth, and actively engage in team meetings and safety huddles.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Successful completion of BCLS Course within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BCLS certification
Desired Qualifications
- Prior Experience as a GI Tech preferred
