Job Summary
Transports patients within the department; cleans, disinfects and reprocesses endoscopes and related equipment; performs clerical functions and assists nursing staff in the delivery of care to adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Responsibilities include maintaining department inventory, stocking supplies and charting materials, answering phones, entering patient charges, and ensuring proper setup and teardown of procedure rooms. Demonstrates effective communication with staff, physicians, patients and families; participates in Quality Monitoring by recording daily, weekly and/or monthly reports; 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday. Requires Basic Life Support within six weeks of hire and completion of mandatory abuse training within three months of hire.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or GED equivalent
- Basic Life Support certified within six weeks of hire
- Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within three months of hire
