Job Summary
Delivers safe, effective, and independent nursing care using the nursing process, including thorough patient assessments, care plan development, and accurate documentation. Performs patient and family education, recognizes cultural differences, and delegates tasks using the Synergy Model of Care. Functions in a developing leadership role, including Charge Nurse responsibilities, while assisting in orienting staff and students. Identifies needs for policy revisions, analyzes data to improve patient care, and maintains required contact hours per the clinical lattice PLAN system. Requires a BSN or ADN with recent nursing experience, valid Georgia RN license, BLS certification, and ACLS as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited prelicensure Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- 12 months of recent nursing experience within the past five years
- Recent completion of a re-entry nursing program
- Graduate of an accredited prelicensure Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience within the past five years
- Current LPNs employed within the Emory Healthcare (EHC) system who have completed an accredited RN program and obtain RN licensure
- Valid, unencumbered Registered Nursing License approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing
- BLS certification
- Active compact/multistate license (eNLC) within 60 days of hire
- Completion of an accredited WOC Nursing Education program
- Certification in Wound Care and Ostomy Care within 12 months of entering the role
- Travel may be required
Desired Qualifications
- Recent completion of an ADN-to-BSN program within two years of entering the RN Clinician role
