Job Summary
Delivers safe, effective, and independent nursing care using the nursing process, performing thorough patient assessments and developing individualized care plans that incorporate patient and family input. Documents care accurately in electronic and physical records while identifying learning needs and recognizing cultural differences to personalize care. Functions within an interdisciplinary team, delegating appropriately and assisting in orienting staff and students when preceptors are unavailable. Identifies needs for policy revisions based on evidence-based research, collects and analyzes data to improve patient care, and participates in surveys to resolve areas for improvement. Maintains required points and contact hours per the clinical lattice PLAN system. Requires a BSN or ADN with recent nursing experience, valid Georgia RN license, and BLS/ACLS certification. Part-time schedule of 20 hours weekly from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited prelicensure Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- 12 months of recent nursing experience within the past five years
- Recent completion of a re-entry nursing program
- Graduate of an accredited prelicensure Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience within the past five years
- Current LPNs employed within the Emory Healthcare (EHC) system who have completed an accredited RN program and obtain RN licensure
- Valid, unencumbered Registered Nursing License approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing
- BLS certification
- Active compact/multistate license (eNLC) within 60 days of hire
- Completion of an accredited WOC Nursing Education program
- Certification in Wound Care and Ostomy Care within 12 months of entering the role
- Travel may be required
Desired Qualifications
- Recent completion of an ADN-to-BSN program within two years of entering the RN Clinician role
