Job Summary
Endodontist duties include administering general anesthesia and performing endodontic therapy on patients with compromised dental health and infections; create and maintain a professional appearance; pay close attention to detail when performing procedures; chart patient information; complete daily reports for each procedure; stay current on new treatment options, materials, equipment, and products related to endodontics; understand and explain the endodontic treatment process to patients; use the latest tools and technology related to endodontics; work well with others in a team setting; collaborate on patient care with other healthcare professionals; communicate effectively with patients, clients, staff members, and coworkers.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Endodontics from an accredited dental school
- Licensed to practice in the state where practicing
- Two years of postdoctoral experience, training, or obtaining a clinical certificate as RDCS
- Completed 1000 root canal procedures (includes Basic+)
- Completed training in the management and prevention of dental emergencies
- Certification in CPR
- Significant knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, dentistry, oral surgery, and anesthesia
