Telework independent-contractor Endocrinology Physician reviewer to assess medical necessity for insurance appeals and client-specific criteria. Responsibilities include reviewing medical records, applying national/state guidelines and peer-reviewed literature, documenting rationale with supporting criteria, and conducting any required peer-to-peer calls. Requires credentialing and active state licenses; role involves fast turnaround where some cases may be reviewed the same day, and cases are prepared in advance for review. Compensation is a flat rate for Group Health Record/Policy Reviews as a 1099 contractor with Dane Street.
