Job Summary
Diagnose and manage endocrine disorders including diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, adrenal, and pituitary conditions through comprehensive evaluation and evidence-based treatment plans. Interpret laboratory studies and imaging to guide care while collaborating with primary care providers, specialists, and advanced practice providers. Educate patients on disease processes, medications, and lifestyle modifications, maintaining accurate documentation within the electronic health record. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the academic mission of the organization. This full-time role in Dothan, Alabama, offers visa sponsorship for J-1 and H-1B candidates and considers 2027 fellowship graduates.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program
- Completion of an accredited Endocrinology Fellowship Program
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism
- Eligible for or holding an active Alabama medical license
- Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain
- Current BLS certification
- Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
