Job Summary
Endoscopy Technician supports endoscopic procedures and equipment maintenance, including room setup, disinfection, specimen handling, scheduling support, and patient transport. Requires knowledge of endoscopic procedures, infection control, aseptic techniques, inventory management, and documentation. Roles involves assisting procedural teams, ensuring safety and quality control, and maintaining supplies and records in a healthcare setting.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Endoscopy Technician or sterile processing program preferred
- 0-2 years of healthcare experience required
- 1-3 years of previous endoscopy experience preferred
- BCLS - Basic Life Support required
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)-AAMA preferred or CNA or CPCT preferred
- SGNA course within six (6) months of employment in Indiana
- GI certification or CST/CORST preferred in New Mexico
- SGNA course within six (6) months of employment in Pennsylvania
- SAMA course within 30 days of hire in Texas
