Job Summary
End-to-End Space Systems Engineer sought to lead and contribute to the design, integration, and verification of space systems. Responsibilities include managing Space Segment External Interfaces and ICDs, performing systems requirements and verification planning/execution, maintaining requirements traceability with the VCRM, developing and modeling the Space Segment Intersegment CONOPS, producing System Design Documents (SDDs), applying Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to develop and maintain the System Architecture Model, conducting system trade studies and analyses, and developing Intersegment Test Plans and test-bed demonstrations. The role involves on-site work with infrequent local travel, collaboration with commercial, government, and proprietary customers, and interaction with cross-disciplinary teams. Preferred candidates have extensive experience in space-based systems, architecture/ConOPS/requirements, and integrating Space, Ground, and User Terminal CONOPS; leadership experience in technical teams or projects; and readiness to relocate as indicated.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3+ years of experience in systems integration with systems engineering processes and procedures
- 3+ years of experience in satellite system design, development or test
- Experience with architecture, ConOps and Requirements for space based systems and associated ground support systems
