Job Summary
Assess construction safety near pipeline facilities through engineering evaluations, design reviews, and stress calculations. Review plan and profile drawings, compare proposed construction to company standards, and coordinate with internal departments and third parties to resolve conflicts. Perform pipeline stress analysis for heavy equipment and roadway crossings, mark-up drawings, and write technical reports with safety stipulations or mitigation project requests. Submit recommendations for encroachment agreements or letters of no objection. Evaluate multiple fast-paced cases effectively and adjust priorities as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Candidates must be eligible to permanently work in the US
- This position is a contract position with the possibility to go perm
- BS in engineering – Civil or Mechanical engineering
- Any experience in utility coordination
- Experience in oil & gas industry
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Ability to effectively comprehend and mark-up engineering and/or Department of Transportation (DOT) construction drawings
- Ability to evaluate multiple fast-paced cases effectively and adjust priorities as needed in a dynamic work environment
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously
- Ability to analyze and evaluate dredging activities and impact to Company's pipeline(s)
- Familiar with GIS, Google Maps and Blue Beam software
- PE licensure in the State of Texas or ability to obtain PE licensure within 6 months of hire
