Job Summary
Encounters I Program Leader for the AU-Ritsumeikan Sakura Scholars section: serve as a student facilitator, update students about campus events, host office hours, encourage engagement, coordinate course planning and classroom logistics, mentor students new to AU, facilitate classroom dialogues, and assist with in-person events and lectures. Requires participation in training, bi-weekly meetings, and regular coordination with the Instructor; 5 hours per week; pay $18.40–$18.50 per hour; Undergraduate student with sophomore standing; AU student; ability to participate in AU programs and adhere to AU policies. This role is part-time and designed for current AU students with relevant leadership and academic standing.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate student with sophomore standing or in their second year at AU with a minimum of 30 credits completed
- Completion of AUx1 (CORE-100/101/196) and AUx2 or AU Encounters (CORE-200/201), unless not required
- At least a 3.00 cumulative GPA
- Good judicial standing
- Demonstrated leadership in the American University community
- Resident Assistants and Complex Problems Program Leaders are eligible to apply
