Enclosure Consultant

Job Summary
Assist senior team members with building enclosure consulting projects for various building types by performing field investigations, documenting existing conditions, and conducting construction observations. Prepare field observation reports and photographic documentation while supporting building enclosure testing and quality assurance activities. Review architectural drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and product submittals under supervision to identify enclosure deficiencies and repair needs. Participate in design phase, pre-construction, and project meetings to collaborate on successful project delivery. Work independently under general supervision to apply building codes, industry standards, and best practices. Periodically travel outside the Columbus metro area for project assignments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors' degree and/or technical diploma in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related discipline, or equivalent of industry experience
- 0-2 years years of experience in design and/or construction related work
- Excellent communicator, both verbal and written
- Ability to work at heights
- Ability to travel to job sites
- Must have reliable transportation
- Knowledge of building codes
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a Team, internally and externally
- Strong project management including project budgets and scheduling
- Experience in evaluating drawings, specifications, and other technical products and material data
- Understanding of key building enclosure technical issues and issues related to material durability and material compatibility
- Knowledge of ASTM and AAMA standard test methods
- Knowledge of construction assemblies for a variety of construction systems
