Job Summary
Encapsulation Lead overseeing third shift operations in Layton, UT. Responsibilities include ensuring all personnel (full-time and temporary) have necessary training, enforcing quality and safety standards, facilitating smooth shift transitions, ensuring Encaps Techs follow work orders, maintaining product quality and process efficiency, meeting time standards for cleaning and processing, generating and distributing reports, organizing incoming product to prevent contamination, providing materials to operators (powder barrels, capsules, bags, tools, etc.), handling finished capsules from encapsulating rooms (weigh, log, label, separate from other product), ensuring availability of supplies (gloves, masks, shoe covers, etc.), and assisting with machine setup and cleanup. Additional duties include contributing to department incentives, upholding safety and company policies, maintaining a clean work area, and maintaining the required food handler permit. Qualifications emphasize English reading/writing ability, basic math, computer skills, and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions in English
- Current food handler permit
- Ability to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- English Proficiency required
- Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Experience in a manufacturing/production setting preferred
