Job Summary
Remote freelance translator position: English (US) into Tagalog with a Healthcare/HR focus. Responsibilities include translating content from English (US) to Tagalog for healthcare and HR domains, adhering to ISO 17100 standards, and applying CAT tools such as memoQ. Candidates must meet at least one acceptance criterion: a translation/linguistics/language studies degree with training, a degree in any field plus two years of full-time translation experience, or five years of full-time translation experience. Preference for experience in healthcare translation and familiarity with CAT tools. Candidates should be eligible to work as freelance contractors and be comfortable working remotely from the US (Virginia Beach area indicated by location), with strong professional experience in translation within the US market.
Required Qualifications
- a) have obtained a degree in translation, linguistics or language studies or an equivalent degree that includes significant translation training, from a recognized institution of higher education
- b) have obtained a degree in any other field from a recognized institution of higher education and has the equivalent of two years of full-time professional experience in translating
- c) have the equivalent of five years of full-time professional experience in translating
- CAT tools experience (memoQ)
