Job Summary
Provide timely medical intervention and crisis intervention in emergency and critical care areas. Administer medications via PO, IM, SQ, IO, and IV; initiate and maintain peripheral intravenous therapy. Perform diagnostic EKGs, collect specimens, and transport patients safely. Monitor vital signs, deliver activities of daily living, and ensure patient safety through close observation and restraint management. Collaborate with forensic teams and law enforcement to maintain secure environments. Complete required continuous training, attend staff meetings, and maintain accurate documentation and inventory.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Successful completion of an approved Paramedic program
- Qualified by education, training, and experience to work with the adolescent, adult, and/or geriatric patient population
- At least 1 year experience
- Six (6) months experience as a Paramedic
- Must successfully complete unit specific competencies
