Job Summary
Provide critical pre-hospital emergency medical care as part of Door County Emergency Services. Respond to emergency calls, administer life-sustaining treatment on-site and during transport, operate ambulances and maintain equipment, complete patient care reports and related forms, participate in public education/outreach, and collaborate with EMTs, medics, and supervisory staff to ensure coordinated response coverage. Maintain required certifications and engage in continuing education; must be prepared for on-call or station-based shifts in varied conditions. Emphasizes clinical precision, emotional resilience, and effective communication under high-stress situations.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Wisconsin Emergency Medical Technician license.
- Completion of National Incident Management System (NIMS) Incident Command System (ICS) 100, 200, 700, and 800 within six (6) months of hire.
- Valid driver’s license.
