Job Summary
Assess patients through physical examinations, First Aid, and Basic Life Support including airway management, ventilator support, and shock management. Perform orthopedic care, medication administration, and patient extrication while conducting proactive safety audits and inspections of facilities, equipment, and life safety systems. Manage physician contacts, patient transfers, and resource dispatch via telecommunication, maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to Standard Operating Procedures. Operate ambulances and other vehicles defensively while managing infection control and hazardous material incidents. Attend mandatory training, follow established protocols, and support peers and the public in a professional environment.
Required Qualifications
- Currently certified by TDH as EMT-B or Licensed Paramedic
- In good standing with TDH
- Good communication and leadership skills
- Texas drivers' license
- Ability to perform duties listed in the job description
